Description
This study investigates student-athletes' perceptions of dual career competence, focusing on academic and sportive variables. A sample of 609 student-athletes (300 women, 309 men) participated, utilizing the Personal Information Form and the Dual Career Competency Questionnaire for Athletes. It revealed significant differences based on university type, scholarship status, and nationality regarding the importance and need for dual career competencies. Notably, perceptions highlighted variations in dual career management, emotional awareness, and social intelligence. The findings indicate that dual career competences are influenced by different academic and athletic contexts, underscoring the need for tailored support for student-athletes navigating both educational and athletic demands.
